Danni Grundy is a trainer and assessor in the Early Childhood Education and Care faculty of C.Y. O’Connor Institute. She delivers the Certificate III and Diploma of Children’s Services to students across 150,000 kilometres of Western Australia’s Wheatbelt.

Danni has been employed in the Children’s Services since she was a trainee at age 16. After 11 years working in various roles within the industry, Danni’s interest training future employees in the industry grew into reality when she was appointed a trainer and assessor at C.Y. O’Connor Institute in 2007.

Understanding the unique requirements of students in regional and remote communities, Danni implemented ‘Blackboard’, an online community for her students to receive customised and contextualised learning materials and class communication. By enabling tailored and innovative learning methods, Danni has helped to minimise the isolation and remoteness experienced by many students in regional areas on the Wheatbelt.
