As a passionate and innovative lecturer in fashion design and fashion business at South Metropolitan TAFE, Lisa’s dynamic learning environments are preparing her students for the fashion industry of today and tomorrow. Prior to her lecturing role at South Metropolitan TAFE, Lisa worked in fashion product design for sixteen years.
As an advocate for systemic change to the fashion supply chain, Lisa incorporates sustainable supply chain management into her teaching activities. She is also a researcher and published academic, and these roles connect her to a broad VET and tertiary community throughout Australia.
Lisa champions VET teaching and learning and the positive impact it can have on young people’s lives, and she has been involved with WorldSkills Australia for many years. Lisa is a regular guest speaker on the topic of sustainability, circular economy and product stewardship in clothing and textiles, and the role of vocational training to support this.
