The Australian Training Awards recognise apprentices, trainees, VET students, teachers, practitioners, employers and training providers demonstrating excellence in vocational education and training.
Minister for Employment, Skills, Small and Family Business, Senator the Hon Michaelia Cash, said the awards celebrate the significant talent evident in Australia’s vocational education and training sector.
“Our strong VET sector is preparing Australians with the skills employers need now and into the future,” said Minister Cash.
“This year’s impressive finalists showcase the outstanding career opportunities offered by vocational education and training.”
Assistant Minister for Vocational Education, Training and Apprenticeships, the Hon Steve Irons MP said VET was setting people up for life.
“It’s great to see the excellence and professionalism within the vocational education and training sector being recognised each year.
“I congratulate all 77 finalists for this achievement and for the contribution they are making to the pursuit of excellence in technical and skills education,” said Assistant Minister Irons.
The 2019 Australian Training Awards will be held on Thursday 21 November in Brisbane, Queensland.
