Madeline is presently employed as a Direct Care Assistant at the Waikerie Hospital in the residential care department, a position she obtained after showing outstanding skills in her 150 hours clinical placement with the hospital.
Madeline is enjoying her role in aged care. She respects and acknowledges that many of the people she cares for have made Waikerie the great community that it is today and feels it is a privilege to be able to assist them with their daily living, personal care or simply making the time to have a conversation.
Madeline has won numerous awards for her vocational studies including the KMC Community Service Training VET Student of the Year, Waikerie High School VET Student of the Year and Rotary Riverland and Mallee VET Student of the Year. Madeline is now in her first year of university, studying a Bachelor of Nursing (Pre Registration).
