After many years working in administration and banking, and possessing a keen interest in sociology, Katherine Haag undertook a Diploma of Community Services (Financial Counselling).
The diploma has assisted Katherine in gaining the practical training she desired to help her clients overcome financial hardship and empower them to become more informed about the complex world of money, credit and debt.
Katherine believes the diploma also boosted her confidence, and gave her a greater understanding and appreciation for the code of conduct and professional rules surrounding her profession.
Katherine is now completing a Diploma of Business and Management and plans to undertake a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment in December 2015 to help further her understanding of developing and delivering a financial literacy community education program, aimed at young people between the ages of 18 to 30. Passionate about assisting people overcome adversity though challenging or breaking the cycle of poverty, Katherine is also undertaking a Master of Social Work and Social Policy which she hopes will help her gain further insights into counselling and behaviour change
