Upon graduating Year 12 in 2012, Hanna Darmody already had one nationally recognised qualification to her name – a Certificate III in Agriculture. With a taste for the vocational education and training learning pathway, Hanna decided to gain further qualifications to play a more effective role in her family businesses, Bungendore Country Butchery and Wynella Pastoral Holdings. To achieve this objective, Hanna completed a Certificate IV in Marketing and a Diploma of Marketing at the Canberra Institute of Technology.
Hanna believes the Diploma studies provided her with a realistic representation of the business world, and the challenges and opportunities marketing for business provides. She hopes to make a difference within her family businesses by bringing all that she has learnt from her diploma to implement contemporary business systems and marketing plans for increased productivity and efficiency. She aspires to work in a leadership role alongside her parents and analyse their business to help improve it for the future.
In her spare time, Hanna is involved in fundraisers for her local community, including the Bungendore Country Muster, the Bungendore Rodeo and the Bungendore Agricultural Show. For her philanthropic achievements, Hanna was named the 2013 Bungendore Young Citizen of the Year.
