Certificate III in Health Services Assistance
Choosing the VET pathway, Meagen discovered a number of opportunities she did not realise were possible.
She believes the path she chose has many advantages over attempting to complete a University course straight out of high school, finding the hands on skills gained from work experience during her traineeship a more desirable option.
Meagen is passionate about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health issues and the Closing the Gap initiative, and plans to put the skills and knowledge she has gained during her traineeship to good use within her community. An advocate for on-the-job training and experience, Meagen believes that her traineeship has given her a head start on the pathway to a future career in the health industry.
Meagen’s training has opened her eyes to the many career opportunities now available to her. When she completes her traineeship, she plans to study nursing at university.
