Joel Pearson has always enjoyed the arts and during college he did a one-year work placement with social arts enterprise Euphorium. This was followed by an Australian School-based Traineeship that Joel did in conjunction with his final year of school.

Joel is thankful for the opportunity to gain both a qualification and hands on experience at the same time. He feels grateful to have been mentored by the tour coordinator for regional arts industry leader CircuitWest.

A highlight of Joel’s career was his first solo project in late 2019, working with the City of Greater Geraldton to provide a performance project titled Geraldton's Worst Artist at a local event, Christmas on the Terrace. Joel led the coordination and development of the project. Running the project gave Joel a first-hand look at the amount of work it takes to run an event, as well as giving him the opportunity to put his newly acquired skills to the test.
