Essential Energy is the regional and remote electricity provider for NSW and parts of southern Queensland.

 

It has approximately 3000 employees dispersed across 737,000 square kilometres, which poses some challenges, including attracting and retaining skilled employees, and increasing costs to undertake business operations, including training apprentices.

 

Essential Energy’s apprentice program aims to on-board individuals that will bring the best outcome for the company and the communities it serves, including retention, post apprenticeship and building a succession pool for higher-level roles within the business.
