Elders Rural Services, Australia’s oldest Stock and Station agency, leads industry innovation, extension and development, with over 200 operational branches domestically and internationally and more than 2000 employees.
Elders Traineeship Program, designed to develop the next generation of agents, provides practical, realistic training and an identified career path in the Australian agricultural industry. To date, the program has provided an opportunity for over 150 entrant employees.
To improve flexibility and learning outcomes, the program has implemented modifications consistent with innovation, AQTF requirements and the changing needs of Elders’ business, industry and communities.
Today many new entrants do not come from the traditional background of growing up on a farm where skills are acquired over time but bring other valuable experience and skill sets well suited to Agency and agriculture. Elders Traineeship Program matches those skills to operational requirements of the agribusiness sector.
Recent years have seen a significant increase in applications and continued recognition by industry bodies and direct competitors, confirming the traineeship program’s regard within the agriculture industry.
Elders continue to make innovative improvements for their own business and the wider Australian Agricultural industry while providing beneficial outcomes for trainees and regional communities across Australia.
