Certificate III in Agriculture

On completing Year 10, David Gardiner chose a career in farming and began a traineeship on his parents’ farm in far north-west Tasmania. Completing a Certificate III in Agriculture at Agritas Trade College confirmed his desire for a farming career and also highlighted his need for continued learning.

David believes his training has broadened his thinking and made him a more productive and useful employee. His increased confidence has enabled him to make appropriate farming decisions, have input into reviewing some of the farm’s procedures and accept his college’s invitation to be interviewed to promote the college, the training it provides and the agricultural industry itself.

David enjoys working for his parents and benefiting from their farming and life skills and has commenced the pathway towards his farming career. He is now enrolled in a Diploma of Agribusiness and is pursuing his goal of owning and operating a farm in the future.
