Cassandra enrolled in a Certificate III in Accounting qualification with TasTAFE in 2016. Having realised this was a career pathway she wished to pursue, she went on to undertake  Diploma of Accounting and then an Advanced Diploma, which she completed this year.

She was previously an apprentice in the Automotive Vehicle Body Painting industry. Having worked in that industry for several years, a car accident forced Cassandra to look into a different career path and this led her to accounting.

Cassandra chose to undertake accounting through vocational education and training as she had seen the benefits of it in her earlier studies. Cassandra sees her new career as having daily relevance in the modern world and through it she continues to grasp the opportunity to develop her skills further. She has now secured full time employment with The Tax Centre, Devonport.
