Samantha Masih has always had a strong desire to forge a career in the dynamic tourism and hospitality industry of the idyllic holiday isle, Tasmania. With two nationally recognised qualifications under her belt, and another on the way, she is already one step ahead of the competition.
Samantha is in the second year of her Australian School-based Apprenticeship in hospitality, training with Workforce Development and the Annie’s Place Bistro in Wynyard. In 2014, she completed a Certificate II in Tourism and a Certificate II in Business.
After a stint of work experience, Samantha is now employed on a casual basis for Tasmania’s iconic MONA museum and its major events such as Dark MOFO, and the MONA Festival. Samantha has also undertaken work experience at the 2014 Cradle Coast Authority Regional Tourism Forum where she gained valuable knowledge about businesses and tourism in the north west of Tasmania.
In 2014, Samantha was awarded Hellyer College’s Tourism Student of the Year Award.
