Certificate IV in Human Resources
Ashleigh Taylor’s career in the HR industry began with her decision to undertake a business traineeship in 2014. Her outstanding achievements as a trainee saw her become the first recipient of a full scholarship from Franklyn Scholar. Ashleigh elected to undertake a Certificate IV in Human Resources, and now works as HR Administrator at Greyhound Australia, overseeing the recruitment of more than 100 staff members.
Ashleigh believes combining operational knowledge of the transport industry, existing administrative skills and ongoing vocational studies ensures a successful and flexible career pathway. She continues to develop her skills more broadly and is training as a volunteer with the St Vincent de Paul Society organisation to support recently settled migrant families.
A previous Queensland Training Awards winner, and currently an Australian Apprenticeships Ambassador, Ashleigh encourages others to consider a VET pathway and advocates for the VET sector’s ability to provide females with job opportunities in non-traditional roles.
