Thanapat (Joe) has always had a deep interest in information and communications technology. This led him to a traineeship with NEC Australia and studying a Certificate IV in Information Technology. Joe says that his traineeship has allowed him to develop many relevant technical skills, and that it helped him to kick-start his career as an Associate Network Engineer with NEC’s Networking Team. 

Joe credits his traineeship with developing his critical thinking and leadership skills. A highly regarded member of the team, Joe has brought a unique programming skill to his role. He automated processes which could take hours down to a just a few minutes, sparing resources and time and speeding up the reporting of networking devices across the Northern Territory. 

Joe is now studying for the internationally recognised Cisco Certified Network Associate exam.
