Tatiara Truck & Trailers was established in Bordertown 40 years ago by husband-and-wife team, John and Ann Jenkin. A business that prides itself on individualised, number plate to number plate, service for on-highway vehicles, farming trucks, and trailers, Tatiara Truck & Trailers takes particular pride in their employees. The family business has grown to 62 employees, 20 of whom are employed under a traineeship or apprenticeship.  

A strong legacy of quality staff training started with the first apprentice in 1995, successfully completing his diesel mechanic apprenticeship in 1999. In 2007, the company built an onsite training room, to help them in upskilling their staff. The vision for this development was to provide the same opportunities to students in regional and rural areas as their metropolitan counterparts. The mezzanine theory room overlooks the workshop, enabling students to see training principles and practices in action.  

The many who have received quality training at Tatiara Truck & Trailers have become assets to the business, the industry, and the wider community.
