Rick Maier Paint Plus is a painting and decorating business specialising in heritage and renovated private residential works.

Founder Rick was the ACT Apprentice of the Year in 2005. He encourages and supports others to undertake apprenticeships, with more than nine employees having completed apprenticeships under his guidance.

Over the past 12 years, the company has increased from one employee to a current staff of nine, six of whom have completed or are currently undertaking their apprenticeship.

Collectively Rick and his apprentices have won multiple awards in the ACT building industry.

In 2016, one of Rick’s apprentices competed in the painting and decorating competition at the WorldSkills National Championships in Melbourne, after having won the Canberra Regional WorldSkills competition in 2015.
