Diploma of Beauty Therapy

Beauty therapy is Loan’s passion. She loves seeing her customers become more confident after treatments at her own salon, and each year offers free services to disadvantaged or seriously ill people.  

Loan said Charles Darwin University, where she obtained her Diploma of Beauty Therapy and worked part-time as an Apprentice Officer for 12 years, gave her the foundation to follow her dreams.  

The road has not always been easy, but through hard work, determination, and diligence, Loan set up her own beauty salon while studying and working part-time. 

Loan’s recently expanded her salon business, training and managing staff, and has taken on a leadership role at Charles Darwin University as an invigilator for the International English Language Testing System. Loan is also a sponsor of the local Australian Vietnamese Family Association. 

Her advice for anyone with a dream is not to wait. “Step up and do it. You never know your limits until you give it a go.”
