Certificate III in Patisserie
RTO: TasTAFE
School: Rosny College
Employer: Jean-Pascal Patisserie
Indiana’s love for patisserie developed when she undertook work experience at Tasmania’s Government House in year 10. Indiana’s great passion for cooking prompted her to commence a School-based Apprenticeship in cookery at TasTAFE with a goal of working as a patisserie chef in the future. Indiana didn’t hesitate to follow her dreams, undertaking a Certificate III in Patisserie and securing a job at Jean-Pascal Patisserie in Hobart.
Outside of her studies, Indiana has many creative interests. She spends a significant amount of time experimenting with recipes, and she even has her own small business making cakes.
The impact of vocational education and training on Indiana’s life has been considerable and she encourages her fellow students to undertake VET in Schools studies as a valuable lead-in to School-based Apprenticeships. Indiana believes that VET has the power to help people realise their dreams and has been inspired to set big goals through her own learning.
