The vision of EK Contracting (EK) is clear, generate a steady work stream to upskill workers and offer career advancement opportunities to ensure everyone has an opportunity to shine. EK offers training and employment opportunities to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across WA through its connections with Indigenous land groups and organisations.
EK believes training underpins retention and they bring this belief to life, with 100% of their staff engaged in nationally accredited training.
As well as their diversified business model, they aim to diversify their employees’ skills. All aspects of training and maintenance are managed entirely by EK internally. The team includes nationally accredited and trained staff, full-time and casual employees, labour-hire, and sub-contractors which ensures complete coverage across the business.
EK prides itself on being a progressive organisation, adopting a paperless management system for all aspects of the business. The use of QR codes allows for easy management of projects regardless of their geographical location. The paperless system enables those struggling with literacy and numeracy to be active employees.
Championing inclusivity at every turn, EK has created an environment where everyone is equal, important, and valued.
