Clinipath Pathology has been a leading supplier of pathology services for Western Australia for more than 20 years. During this time, Clinipath Pathology has successfully combined the roles of operating a commercially viable business with providing opportunities for quality, on-the-job staff training.

Two of the company’s overarching values include a commitment to service excellence and to be enthusiastic about continuous improvement, and Clinipath Pathology achieves these through the provision of relevant and quality training of its staff.

Clinipath employs 780 staff, including 93 trainees, 70 percent of whom are mature aged. Since October 2012, 512 staff members have completed either a nationally recognised unit of competency or a full qualification. It works closely with local training providers to host practical work placements, including tailored training methods and has implemented a successful mentoring programme.

Clinipath encourages all its employees to embark on a training journey for life. Its approach to training has led to a happier, more engaged workforce with increased productivity levels by staff.

In 2014, Clinipath Pathology was named Outstanding Employer of Mature Age Apprentices and Trainees at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Australia Employer Excellence Awards.
