While studying a Certificate II in Hospitality at TasTAFE, Catherine joined the Eski Group as a trainee. Just one year later, she began her Certificate III in Hospitality at the Group’s flagship restaurant, Cataract on Paterson. Drawn to work with a team that encourages professional training, Catherine has always had a strong desire to grow her knowledge and skills.  

Through her tenacity and commitment to her role, Catherine has had the opportunity to work beyond the scope of a front-of-house trainee. Her involvement in beverage ordering, stock control, menu design, social media, training and administration has allowed Catherine to expand her skill set and gain exposure to the diverse nature of the hospitality industry. 

In her position as a junior supervisor, Catherine supports senior management, while guiding her team. A central responsibility of hers is training staff to deliver exceptional service—a rewarding role that allows her to share her knowledge and passion for the industry with others.  

Catherine intends to complete a Certificate IV in Hospitality, before working towards a Diploma in Hospitality Management. She credits her personal and professional achievements throughout her traineeship to the support, mentoring and compassion of those she works alongside.
