Certificate III in Agriculture
Employer: SW Radford Pty Ltd.
Caitlin Radford is a fifth-generation farmer from Moriarty on the North West Coast of Tasmania. She grew up living on the land and has always loved the agricultural industry. In 2018, Caitlin started her Certificate III in Agriculture as a part-time apprentice and through the family farming business.
Caitlin progressed into a Diploma of Agribusiness Management, which she is currently completing through TasTAFE. Caitlin has grown up with her father and grandfather on the farm. In between her school and horse riding commitments, Caitlin was always working. Her father is her employer and Caitlin enjoys working alongside her role model everyday as he supports her as a young female in the industry.
In 2020, Catlin was awarded a Primary Employers Scholarship from a Farm Managers Program, run by Rabobank in New Zealand. She is hoping to participate in the program in mid-2021. At a Rural Youth State Ball held in February 2020, Caitlin was awarded Best New Member. She used the prize money to complete her Heavy Combination Truck Licence course.
