In November 2013, Box Hill Institute was named the International Training Provider of the Year for its outstanding delivery of vocational education and training and training to full-fee paying international students.
“Winning International Training Provider of the Year acknowledges that the work we’re doing in the international area is important.” Box Hill Institute’s interim Chief Executive Officer, Joe Piper, said.
“These awards send a message of how important international education is, not only to Australia, to Victoria and Box Hill but to all of the developing countries and regions we work in.”
Box Hill Institute is committed to internationalisation and its approach to this commitment encompasses four pillars: inbound international students, international projects, transnational delivery and global studies and citizenship.
Box Hill Institute’s international inbound students are supported prior to and throughout their training, with a dedicated team of international student support staff providing accommodation, language, academic and social support.
Box Hill Institute’s income from all international activity represents approximately 19 per cent of its overall income, making its international arm a significant and strategic part of its operations.
