As a selective arts college and registered training organisation, John Curtin College of the Arts offers specialist arts-related VET programs to students in Years 10-12. The college partners with external RTOs to enable students to access more than 30 different VET programs from a wide range of industry sectors.
The college’s strong commitment to vocational education is evident in its student participation ratios, with 20% of Year 10 students and 60% of Year 11 and 12 students undertaking VET programs alongside their regular studies.
Each VET program is delivered collaboratively with the college’s extensive network of industry partners, ensuring students receive training that is current, relevant and aligned with industry standards and demands.
The college’s specialist arts-related VET programs in dance, creative industries and visual arts are particularly unique, as they blend artistic disciplines with academic subjects, and are tailored to the interests and goals of each individual student.
