TAFE Gippsland has undertaken a journey of transformation over the past 6 years. Underpinned by extensive engagement with community and industry, and a commitment to delivering the best possible VET outcomes for the region, TAFE Gippsland is today recognised as a leading Victorian regional VET provider. TAFE Gippsland has a growing portfolio of programs and purpose-built facilities resulting in strong student and employer satisfaction results.
Strategic partnerships assist TAFE Gippsland to address skills shortages and meet regional demands. Across its 13 campuses, from Warragul to Lakes Entrance, they offer diverse programs such as food and fibre, new and emerging industries, and maritime operations. Strong collaboration with Federation University, secondary schools, adult education providers and small and large employers facilitates people-centred, evidence-based decisions around their offering.
TAFE Gippsland has been at the forefront of the region’s transition to renewables and the clean energy economy through key partnerships and initiatives. In partnership with paper manufacturer, Opal Australian Paper, they’ve developed courses such as the Certificate III in Bio Manufacturing, which involves the design and delivery of waste-to-energy management training, equipping students for emerging industries.
TAFE Gippsland educators create environments where learners can develop their skills through experiential learning. Their Community Café program, in partnership with Yooralla, provides students with disability the opportunity to enhance their skills in an operational restaurant.
