The ACT Cyber Security Skills Accelerator is a collaborative team approach to researching and building sustainable cyber training resources, programs and facilities for the Australian workforce.
The collaboration has at its core Fifth Domain, Canberra Institute of Technology and AustCyber.
Set the task of finding a solution to the cyber security skills shortage by industry leaders, the collaboration now provides the ACT with end-to-end cyber security training, and supports and shares knowledge with TAFE institutions across Australia.
With a focus on increasing opportunities for the ACT workforce, traineeships in cyber security are now available along with the addition of an Advanced Diploma, coming in 2020.
The three organisations work together across different networks, and coming together to address challenges in developing sustainable training programs. The collaboration is fluid demonstrating the advantage of the VET and industry relationship when each partner works to its strength.
