The Queensland college has a reputation as a leader and strong advocate for vocational education in a secondary school setting.
In 2019 St James had 436 students, including Indigenous, students with a disability, students with a refugee background or asylum seeker status, and international students.
More than 50 per cent of students have English as an additional language or dialect.
