Capital S.M.A.R.T. provides a dedicated training area for apprentices to learn, with old panels and cars to practice on, and dedicated trainers to support them during their first twelve months.

 

Additionally, S.M.A.R.T. ensures its TAFE partners visit sites to add extra on-site assistance.

 

The company understands the first year is when an apprentice is most vulnerable, so the dedicated trainers and support staff that oversee the program has resulted in more effective training, higher retention and an accelerated apprenticeship training model which provides for completion in three years instead of four.

 

To ensure apprentices remain on track, S.M.A.R.T. sets specific training targets in the first year and measures progress on a weekly scorecard.
