The Design Centre, Enmore (DCE), was conceived in the Bauhaus design education tradition, which combines studio-based and applied learning.

The Creative Industries Faculty has strong industry engagement, resulting in industry projects and collaborations, internships, sponsorships and industry identified skills gap training.

The talented staff are active in their professional fields, winning awards, both as teachers and practitioners, as well as holding leadership positions in professional and industry associations.

DCE employs a range of industry experts as part-time teachers who make up two thirds of the educational staff.  This team of industry experts is one of DCE’s most valued partnerships through contributing to curriculum development, providing networking and upskilling opportunities for permanent staff, and ensuring training continues to improve to remain relevant to employer needs.

It is the currency, knowledge and skills of DCE’s teachers that ensures graduates are work-ready.
