Kathryn has 15 years professional experience in adult language, literacy and numeracy training, and is a much loved and respected leader.

She has led an expanded team of seven teaching staff in the Literacy, Work Education, Numeracy, and Grammar and Writing areas. She has successfully blended the needs and skills of staff under her direction resulting in improved sharing of best practice and shared improvement strategies.

The reciprocal effect of her leadership is a more cohesive student group, which understands that their teachers work in unison to deliver the best possible teaching and attain the strongest student outcomes.

Kathryn’s use of a variety of teaching strategies lends itself to maintaining student interest in class. In addition, her keen understanding of challenging cohort needs has led to her providing extra-supportive or extension work, such as grammatical tutoring and additional time allowances to improve student outcomes.
