Beverly has more than 30 years of experience teaching adults, including 22 years of teaching language, literacy and numeracy in the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP).

Her dedication to education is evident in her personal achievements.

After teaching high school English, Beverly moved to the AMEP in 1987 where she taught oracy, literacy, numeracy and settlement. Because teaching NESB students requires a different skill set than required for teaching high school students, Beverly completed a graduate certificate in TESOL (Teaching English to speakers of other languages).

Beverly returned to AMEP in 2015, and in 2016 underwent further training in the Australian Core Skills Framework to teach LLN to Centrelink clients in the Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program.

Beverly is experienced in all delivery modes in the AMEP, including English in the Workplace. She has also provided professional development to colleagues, demonstrating flexibility, dedication, and innovation. The result is consistently positive student outcomes.
