Petra Davis is committed to supporting adult language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) students to achieve successful learning outcomes. Since joining TAFE Queensland Brisbane in 2012, she has specialised in teaching Certificate III in Spoken and Written English (CSWE III) youth classes as part of the AMEP and SEE programs.

An advocate of digital learning, Petra uses a range of technologies to engage her students and equip them with skills that prepare them for further tertiary study, and ultimately the workforce.

Petra plays a leading role in managing TAFE Queensland’s Meadowbrook youth program. The majority of her students come from refugee backgrounds, and many of them have experienced traumatic backgrounds prior to commencing their studies. Drawing on her professional knowledge and commitment, she guides her students to achieve positive outcomes regardless of their challenges. Former students consider Petra a key influence in helping them realise their goals.
