Bendigo Senior Secondary College (BSSC) provides all Year 11 and 12 students with access to 23 nationally recognised VET courses at Certificates II and III level, which can be completed as part of their academic or applied learning programme. Through programmes linking learning, training and employment, students are able to choose pathways in areas including health and community services, sport and recreation, visual arts, science and maths, communications, commerce and skilled services.

BSSC delivers its vocational programmes through its on-site registered training organisation, as well as through arrangements with external training providers. BSSC is the lead school of the Bendigo Schools Trade Training Centre.
BSSC runs a highly regarded work placement programme. Students are able to participate in structured workplace learning with local businesses and undertake Australian School-based Apprenticeships. BSSC is responsive to trends in the job market and introduced a Certificate III in Health Services Assistance to align with the newly developing Bendigo Health Precinct.
