Prior to commencing his Australian School-based Apprenticeship as an electrician, Bradley Fairlie had excelled at metal and wood work at school and developed proficiency for using tools. He undertook work experience with his father, a joiner, and his uncle, a plumber. However, it was a teacher at his school who suggested the electrical trade.

Now working towards a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician at TasTAFE, Bradley is enjoying working across a range of electrical projects with his employer, Comstar Systems, including broadening his experience working in fibre to the premises and fault testing. He dreams of one day owning his own electrical company.

Bradley has played competition soccer for a number of years and has previously worked as a referee for Football Tasmania. He received a Bronze award in the Duke of Edinburgh Awards in 2012 and enjoys scuba diving.
