From an early age Shaquille Robinson identified there was a lack of skilled Aboriginal legal workers, and even less Aboriginal civil law solicitors. As soon as she was able, Shaquille began to undertake vocational education and training to build her knowledge about community issues and completed a Certificate III in Community Services while still at school.

As soon as she was able, Shaquille began to undertake vocational education and training to build her knowledge about community issues and completed a Certificate III in Community Services while still at school.
After finishing high school, a position became available at Wirringa Baiya Aboriginal Women's Legal Services where she felt she could finally make a difference in community services. However, deciding she needed more qualifications, Shaquille chose to study a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment to build on her skills and knowledge.
Now with aspirations to become a solicitor, 21 year old Shaquille is a Community Legal Education Officer for Wirringa Baiya and travels to all corners of New South Wales to provide Indigenous women with legal advice and education about community issues.
Shaquille is now enrolled at the University of Technology in Sydney studying a Bachelor of Laws and hopes to keep educating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities about civil law, then, as a solicitor, one day represent Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
