Two years into a degree in international relations, Ashleigh Taylor decided to withdraw from her tertiary studies and undertake a Certificate III in Business Administration through Franklyn Scholar. She then secured a position with Greyhound Australia as a trainee workshop administrator.

Ashleigh’s role has grown considerably since she commenced her traineeship, as her skills and knowledge grow. She is responsible for processing a considerable number of invoices each week and for rolling out new uniforms for the operational drivers nationally, and she is one of only a few employees across the company to have received training in a new rostering programme. She no longer feels intimidated by working in a predominately male workforce, and believes that she can be a role model for other women in, or considering joining, the transport industry.

Ashleigh has participated in a range of fundraising activities for charity and has played representative netball for many years.
